Thursday, December 4 Holiday Pops Concert by the Fox Valley Symphony

Thursday, December 4 at 7pm, the Fox Valley Symphony will be performing a Holiday Pops Concert in Pickard Auditorium at Neenah High School as the kick-off activity for this year’s Neenah Community Christmas Event.

Live Mannequin Event Downtown Neenah

Friday, December 5 from 5pm to 7pm

Stroll through historic Downtown Neenah and view the living windows and outdoor displays at over 25 businesses. Enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride, listen to the songs of the season by carolers, get into the holiday spirit and do a little “Window Shopping” at the same time.

City Wide Holiday House Decorating Contest

This holiday season will be filled with bright smiles and twinkling lights during the seventh annual Holiday House Decorating Contests sponsored by the Wisconsin Energy Foundation.

Downtown Neenah gift certificate prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Judging will take place the weekend of December 12-14. Winners will be announced December 15. Call FutureNeenah to register a home for judging at 722.1920.

Open Gym/Open Swim Set to Begin November 5th at the Menasha High Fieldhouse

Open Gym Hours   6:30-9:30 PM   Basketball Players and Walkers Welcome

Open Swim Hours  6:30-7:30 PM   17 and under (under 7 must be accompanied by adult)

                               7:30-8:30 PM  Adult, ages 18 and older

$1.00 per person, payable at the fieldhouse

Open Gym/Open Swim runs Wednesdays, November 5 through March 4th (closed for holidays on 11/26, 12/24 and 12/31)

Holiday Hayride Tickets Available Starting November 3rd!

This popular ride will be held on Friday, December 5th.  Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended because most rides are sold out well in advance of event.  Trips start at 5:00 PM and last approximately 20 minutes.  The last ride departs at 8:45 PM.  Tickets are $1.00 each (ages 2 and under are free and do not require a ticket).  Tickets can be purchased at the Parks and Recreation Department, second floor City Hall, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. 

LIVE NATIVITY CELEBRATES THE CHRISTMAS SEASON

 Once again, a live nativity tableau will be presented at the Congregational United Church of Christ, 1511 Nicolet Blvd. in Neenah on Friday, December 5, 2008.  Beginning at 5:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m., Christ’s nativity will be reenacted in a stable and surrounded by a variety of animals.
